ESCL Ownership, Management and Critical Business Relationships
Evolution Securities China Limited (ESCL) is owned by its employees and the Evolution Group plc (www.evgplc.com). The Evolution Group is an independent financial services group comprising investment banking, private client asset management, IP exploitation, services as well as ESCL. The Group is listed on the main board of the London Stock Exchange.
ESCL’s sister company, Evolution Securities Limited (“ESL”) (www.evosecurities.com), a firm authorised and regulated in the UK by the Financial Services Authority to conduct investment business acts as ESCL’s settlement agent in all of its secondary and placement business. ESL was formed in 2002 by the merger of Evolution Capital Limited and Beeson Gregory and is the Investment Banking arm of The Evolution Group plc.
ESCL has a formal relationship with Guotai Junan Securities in Hong Kong (www.gtja.com.hk), the largest mainland Chinese investment bank. Guotai has 20% of Chinese primary issuance market and 12% of Chinese retail market. It employs over 3,000 investment professionals operating in 180 brokerage offices throughout China. ESCL works in close collaboration with Guotai Junan Securities (HK) to introduce Chinese corporate clients to the European investor base via IPOs and stock placements in the Hong Kong markets.
